1、 What is it

Wall curing agent=wall solid, which belongs to water-based polymer lotion interface material, generally yellow, blue or transparent liquid, and is the base pretreatment material before the construction of putty and emulsion paint.

2、 Core role

1. Lock floating dust and fix loose: Seal the surface of the cement wall to prevent sand and dust from falling off continuously

2. Improve adhesion: make putty, latex paint and walls adhere more firmly, reduce the probability of hollowing, peeling and falling off

3. Balanced water absorption rate: prevent the wall from absorbing water too quickly, causing the putty to quickly lose water and crack, and paint to have color differences

4. Anti alkali sealing: blocks the precipitation of alkaline substances in cement, reduces the occurrence of white frost, mold and discoloration on the wall in the later stage

Important reminder: Wall fixing ≠ waterproofing, cannot replace waterproof coating, and the bathroom cannot just brush curing agent

Product type suitable for the situation

Ordinary wall fixing (lotion type wall curing agent), home decoration interface agent, blank wall, slight powder shedding, pre-treatment before putty, surface film forming reinforcement

Cement sanding hardening agent (permeable sand fixing agent), silicate chemical reaction type wall surface, severe sanding, one touch of sand, deep penetration hardening mortar body

If a large amount of sand falls off the wall surface with just one rub, using ordinary wall fixing can only treat the symptoms and not the root cause. It is necessary to buy sand fixing/sanding treatment agents

4、 Which walls must be painted

New house rough cement plaster wall

Aerated blocks, lightweight brick walls (absorb water very quickly)

Renovation of old house, slight peeling and looseness of walls

Prepare to apply wallpaper, wallpaper, and art paint

First floor, damp room wall base sealing

A sturdy and smooth concrete shear wall that does not shed powder and can be omitted;

Do not fix the wall with putty that has already been applied.

5、 Standard construction steps

1. Clean the base layer: remove hollows and loose wall coverings, sweep away floating dust and oil stains; Severe sanding should be shoveled to a solid layer first

2. Wall drying: The moisture content of the wall is less than 10%, and there is no visible water. Wet walls should be dried first

3. Brushing: Roller coating, use a brush for edges and corners.

Ordinary sturdy wall: original solution or a small amount of water mixed (according to product instructions, generally 1 coat)

Loose wall: After the first coat is dry, apply the second coat

Usage: 1kg ≈ 8-10 ㎡ (once)

4. Dry curing: Surface dry at room temperature for 2-4 hours, completely dry within 24 hours, and then apply putty after it is completely dry

Construction temperature: 5-35 ℃; Humidity ≤ 85%; Do not work on rainy days.

6、 Selection criteria&brand reference

Priority should be given to selecting products that comply with JG/T 468-2022 "Building Wall Reinforcement Agents", have low VOC content, and are free of free formaldehyde.

Mainstream brands: Oriental Yuhong, Nippon Paint, Degao, Dulux, Sika.

7、 Common pitfalls and misconceptions in avoiding pitfalls

1. Adding too much water: Adding too much water dilutes the adhesive content and weakens the reinforcement

2. Replace waterproofing: Wall fixation does not have waterproofing function, and kitchens and bathrooms must be separately waterproofed

3. Replace wall fixing with 108 glue: The old 108 glue has poor environmental protection and is prohibited for home decoration

4. Apply latex paint directly on top of the wall fixing: After the wall fixing is completely dry, putty must be applied instead of painting directly
